For high-level foreign talents, submit a certification letter issued by the relevant talent management department. Foreign cultural and artistic performance groups and individuals submit work permits issued by the cultural and tourism department.
For foreign high-level talents, urgently needed specialized talents, and investors, residence permits with a residence period not exceeding 5 years can be issued.
For personnel working in reputable filing units, a residence permit with a residence period not exceeding 2 years can be issued.
For other personnel, a residence permit with a residence period not exceeding one year can be issued.
2. Learning category:
Individuals holding an X1 visa entering the country should submit a letter from their school indicating the study period and proof of admission or enrollment; Individuals holding other types of visas entering the country shall submit proof materials issued by the competent department. You can issue a residence permit that matches the school's stated study period.
Foreigners holding study type residence certificates who need to work for study or practice in the field shall apply to the exit and entry administration of the public security organ for residence certificates with information such as the location and duration of work for study or practice after obtaining the consent of their schools. Foreigners holding study type residence certificates who do not have the required information in their residence certificates shall not work in the field or practice in schools.
3. Journalists:
Individuals holding a J1 visa entering the country should submit a letter issued by the foreign affairs department of the provincial people's government and a "journalist card" issued. A residence permit with a residence period not exceeding one year can be issued.
4. Reunion category:
Individuals holding a Q1 visa entering the country should provide proof of the identity of the person being visited and a letter explaining their family relationship.
Foreigners who enter the country with other types of visas shall also submit proof of family relationship.
For those under the age of 18 and those over the age of 60, a residence permit with a residence period not exceeding 3 years can be issued. For those under the age of 18, the deadline for their residence period cannot exceed the date of their age of 18; Residence permits with a residence period not exceeding 2 years can be issued to other individuals.
For foreign children under the age of 18 who are fostered by foreign Chinese or overseas Chinese in China, the exit and entry administration organ of the public security organ in the place where the foster trustee's registered residence is located or his main place of residence may issue a residence certificate with a validity period of no more than three years, and the expiration date of the residence period shall not exceed the date when he or she is 18 years old. A copy of the applicant's birth certificate and the passport of the foreign parents shall be submitted. If both or one of the parents is Chinese, a copy of the certificate of residence abroad shall also be submitted; The power of attorney from the applicant's parents and the trustee for foster care shall indicate the entrusted custody or guardianship, the length of foster care, and other relevant information; The trustee's local permanent registered residence registration certificate or residence certificate and resident ID card of the actual residence for more than 6 months.
5. Personal affairs:
Individuals holding an S1 visa entering the country and visiting relatives should submit a letter and residence permit issued by the person being visited, explaining the relationship between relatives (spouse, parents, spouse's parents, children under 18 years old). For visitors holding other types of visas, they should submit a letter, residence permit, and proof of family relationship (spouse, parents, spouse's parents, children under 18 years old) issued by the visited person. Other personnel should submit proof materials related to handling personal affairs. A residence permit with a residence period not exceeding one year can be issued.
Foreign Chinese who have reached the age of 60 and purchased property within China shall submit proof of their property ownership or a notarized property purchase and sale contract, as well as proof of their source of income, and may be issued a residence permit with a residence period not exceeding 3 years.
Foreigners receiving medical assistance or services in China shall submit a certificate of hospitalization or medical service for more than six months issued by a local medical institution at or above the county level or at or above the second level, and may issue residence certificates with a residence period of not more than one year.
